On September 24, 2013, C Spire CEO Hu Meena issued a call to action to neighborhoods, towns and cities in Mississippi to tell us why they need, want and will benefit from the future opportunities and potential of C Spire’s 1 Gig Fiber to the Home service. The response has been outstanding to say the least.

 

Phase I of the Get Fiber First Challenge focused on getting communities and individuals energized about the initiative and having local leadership submit an official RFI (Request for Information) response. Additionally, we provided a web form that enabled individuals to express their interest and tell us why their neighborhood should Get Fiber First.

 

Communities Respond with Videos

 

C Spire received official RFI responses from over 30 communities representing virtually every geographic area of the state. As part of their responses, several communities also provided a video (or two or three!) for us to consider and to show their respective community’s enthusiasm for the project.
